Youth With A Mission
Youth With A Mission (YWAM), desires to inspire people, youth and adults wih a great passion for God. Since 1960, this christian international movement, interdenomination to prepare hundred of thousands of believers in the way of God and He has sent them into the misionary field fulled with faith, anxious to win the world for Jesus Christ.
It was founded by Loren Cunningham. The dream started in 1960 visualizing loads of youth that travelled to continents and announced the “good news” of Jesus Christ.
The vision of Loren has been converted into an international and interdominational movement of Christians from all the world , dedicated to present the Gospel to this generation.
Our lifestyle has as a commitment and a dependence of God to guide us, provide economically, and live in holiness. We maintain a lifestyle of worship, hospitality, prayer, generosity, lidership of service, group ministries, christian character and good relationships between each other and our family.
Because of the call of the vision, YWAM has activities in ‘forma novedosa´ where these iniciaives are required. We try to build bridges between Christian leaders, working together with local churches and missions to fulfill the great comission.
Youth With A Mission-Argentina
In 1978 Argentina was chosen as hostess for the whols world to enjoy the fooball competitions in the football stadioms. For this oportunity, not only the people passionate about sports come, diferent nationalities of diverse cultures and languages but also youth passionate for Jesus and dedicated to proclaim the message of the Cross in the Argeninian streets.
This caused a great impact on the Argentinian church about courage , who had become accustomed to proclaming through their teeth because of the government system of that time and the oppressive presence of darkness because of the dim light. Many Christians tried to catch this mobilization and it was then that we started with the Discipulship seminars:like recognize the voice of God, intercession for the lost, evangelism as a style of life, etc.
During the 80´s, in Palmira, Mendoza the Lord provided finances to buy a house: “the first Base in Argentina”. Following that the first internal school of Youth With A Mission started, at that time called “ Basic school of evangelism”. To this program, evangelistic oureaches to different parts of the country and neighboring countries were included.
In 1989 the Base moved to Buenos Aires(strategic point) with a new vision: “ to train latino americans for the mision field with an objective to take evangelism to the unreached villages.”
All the bases are autonomous maintaining its links with the national and international bases, through voluntary submissive relationships based on love and the recognition of the purposes that give the Mission its identity.
